So it requires more skill to catch a bll with a glove, like baseball, than it does to catch a ball with your hands, like football? Makes no sense. It doesnt mean we dont understand the game, we just flat out dont like it.

    Re: baseball [censored] blows

It would be cool if we could actually discuss what the thread was intended for instead of downing the sport maybe make a thread that says BASEBALL SUCKS. That way we'd know not to touch it,instead of clicking it thinking that we were actually going to discuss the sport. For example: I personally would rather watch paint dry than NASCAR. I think that NASCAR sucks balls, but if someone posted a thread about my thoughts on it,if I didn't have any input other than downing it,i'd leave it alone.

Now,to the original purpose of the thread:
IMO whoever comes out of Region D this year (both squads) should have a legit shot at state (provided that they can get past that always stout Region B representative). With the additions of always solid VHS,JSB and a vastly improved Lee squad (Lebanon is usually decent as well),the region is going to be stout. I fully expect GC to be stronger this year, and of course,JJK will be a factor as well with so many returning players. With all the talent that they have, the Raiders could very well make some noise as well. Coeburn was young last year, and should be vastly improved and should make some noise in the Cumberland.

What would be the point of a forum then?

Baseball is a special sport, it's Americas Sport there is so much more to baseball than hitting the ball, catching it, and pitching. I understand why people don't like baseball it's not like football and basketball you either really love it or just don't care for the most part. I'd personally take baseball over any sport in terms of watching a regular game. As for the high school baseball/softball season I'd expect the LPD to win both with JJK in baseball and PV in softball.

if they are half as competitive as they were in football, they'll have a good baseball team. also, it seems like clintwood has a lot returning in softball too.

    Re: baseball [censored] blows

    How they'll finish:

    Kelly (only lost 1 player)
Norton (still has one of the top pitchers in the district)
PV (could contend for #2 with Salyers at the helm)
Clintwood (returns some good talent, just not ready for tops in baseball)
    Appy (?? Has Ireson)
Pound (Lost 3 best players from last year's last place team)
